South Korean giant Samsung is gearing up to unveil its Galaxy J7 (2017) line of smartphones, a tipster confirms. Previously, a couple of handsets — SM-J727A and SM-S727VL — surfaced on benchmarking websites. The device was also spotted under India’s import database back in October last year. Now, a press image of what appears to be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) has surfaced. The tweet sent out by a tipster also suggests that the Galaxy J7 (2017) will hit the shelves as Galaxy J7 V and Galaxy J7 Sky Pro for Verizon and Tracfone respectively.

Previous reports and benchmarking results suggest that the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) flaunts a 5.5-inch HD display (1280 x 720 pixels), resulting in 267 PPI pixel density. The Galaxy J7 (2017) handsets — SM-J727A and SM-J727P — are expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. However, yet another model SM-S727VL suggests that it will bundle Android 6.0 Marshmallow software. The Galaxy J7 (2017) would be powered by either Snapdragon 425 or Snapdragon 625 processor. The global variant, however, is expected to be powered by Exynos 7870 chip.
Other key specifications include 2GB RAM and camera combos i.e., 16MP rear / 8MP front or 8MP rear and 5MP front (depending upon the model, of course). It is expected that Samsung would launch the Galaxy J7 (2017) sometime later this year.
Recently, we reported exclusively that Samsung Galaxy A 2017 line is all set to launch in India soon.
