Samsung has expanded its Galaxy M01 series of smartphones with the launch of a new model. It is dubbed as the Galaxy M01 Core. The South Korean brand had previously launched the Galaxy M01 and M01s in the last 60 days. The latest offering is the third device in the lineup and the cheapest of the lot. It also comes with entry-level specifications.
The Galaxy M01, M01s and M01 Core are all priced under Rs 10,000. Aditya Babbar, Director, Mobile Business, Samsung India said in a statement, “Galaxy M01 Core has been designed to deliver value for money with a best–in-class performance and stylish proposition targeting users seeking best performance, experience and price.”

The Galaxy M01 Core features an HD+ display measuring 5.3-inches with top and bottom bezels. The device is offered in Black, Blue and Red colour options with a texturized back panel. The smartphone comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie snapper on the front.
The Galaxy M01 Core is powered by a MediaTek 6739 processor. It is offered in two RAM and storage configurations of 1GB + 16GB and 2GB + 32GB. The smartphone runs Android Go that is designed for devices with 1GB RAM or less. Samsung says that the Galaxy M01 Core comes with ‘Make in India’ features like suggest notifications, smart paste and intelligent photos. The device also comes with dark mode integration. A 3,000mAh battery unit fitted inside keeps the Galaxy M01 Core running.

The base variant of Galaxy M01 Core is priced at Rs 5,499 while the 2GB + 32GB option costs Rs 6,499. The smartphone will be available for purchase starting July 29th across Samsung’s retail stores, Samsung Opera House, Samsung.com and leading online portals.
