Samsung Galaxy M01 and M01s get a price cut in India

In June, Samsung announced the Galaxy M01 entry-level smartphone in India. It was followed by the launch of the Galaxy M01s in July. There are speculations that the Galaxy M01 series could be soon replaced by the Galaxy M02. The arrival of the M02 could be drawing near as Samsung has slashed the prices of Galaxy M01 and M01s smartphones.

The Galaxy M01 and M01s are equipped with tall displays, decent processors, and large-sized batteries. The South Korean company is offering a price cut of Rs 500 on both smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy M01 s now available with a Rs 500 discount

The Samsung Galaxy M01 was introduced with a price tag of Rs 8,999. It has been selling for Rs 7,999 for the past few weeks. With the new price cut, the handset is now available for Rs 7,499.

On the other side, the Samsung Galaxy M01s had arrived in India for Rs 9,999. In September, its price was reduced to Rs 9,499. With the additional discount of Rs 500, the handset can now be bought for Rs 8,999.

The Galaxy M01 has a 5.71-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, whereas the Galaxy M01s is fitted with a larger 6.2-inch HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio. They are powered by Snapdragon 439 and Helio P22 chipsets, respectively. Both phones have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. They run One UI based on Android 10.

The Galaxy M01 and M01s are equipped with 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear cameras. The M01 has a 5-megapixel selfie camera, whereas the M01s features an 8-megapixel frontal snapper. Both phones are backed by 4,000mAh batteries.

Recent reports have revealed that the Galaxy M02v has been spotted at certification platforms like Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance. It has also appeared on Geekbench and Samsung India’s support page. These listing have revealed that the Galaxy M02 is equipped with specs like a 1.8GHz Snapdragon chipset, 3GB of RAM and Android 10.

The Galaxy M02s has been spotted in the listing of Google Play supported devices. Rumours suggest that its specs could be identical to the Galaxy A02s that debuted last month.
