Earlier today, Samsung announced an entry-level A-series smartphone called Galaxy A02. Now, the South Korean brand is set to launch the Galaxy M02 in India on February 2nd at 1pm. Ahead of the launch, the smartphone has been listed on Amazon suggesting that it will be available for purchase on the e-commerce platform.
The Samsung Galaxy M02 will arrive as the successor to last year’s Galaxy M01. It is also expected to be a toned-down version of the Galaxy M02s that debuted earlier this month.
As per the Amazon listing, the Galaxy M02 will feature a 6.5-inch Infinity-V display bearing an HD+ resolution. The screen is bigger than the Galaxy M01. The volume rocker and power buttons are now located on the right side of the device. The upcoming offering is confirmed to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which is 1,000mAh more than its predecessor.
The rest of the specifications are not known at the moment. However, the Samsung Galaxy M02 is confirmed to be priced under Rs 7,000. Samsung has seen a positive traction for Galaxy M-series in India. Now, it is trying to seize on that opportunity with recently launched M02s and upcoming M02.
Samsung Galaxy M02s specifications and price in India
The Samsung Galaxy M02s is the brand’s first smartphone with 4GB RAM under Rs 10,000 price bracket. The smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display and a prism-cut pattern on the back panel. The Galaxy M02s features a rectangular camera module housing a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP portrait unit and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, there is a 5MP camera for selfies.
The Galaxy M02s runs on a Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB native storage. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging.
The base variant of Galaxy M02s i.e 3GB + 32GB costs Rs 8,999 while the 4GB + 64GB option retails at Rs 9,999.
