The Samsung Galaxy M02’s price in India has been increased. The brand had launched the entry-level smartphone in February with a price tag of Rs 6,999. Its price has now been hiked by Rs 500, as per a report by 91mobiles.

Earlier this week, the South Korean tech giant began the “Samsung Carnival” shopping festival to offer Galaxy M series handsets with attractive discounts. Buyers of the Galaxy M02 will be surprised to know that it is now available with an increased price tag. The smartphone’s key features include a big display, a huge battery, and 12-mgeapixel dual cameras.

The Galaxy M02 2GB RAM + 32GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variants were launched with introductory price tags of Rs 6,799 and Rs 7,299. Later, both models were sold for Rs 6,999 and Rs 7,499, respectively. With a price hike of Rs 500, the two variants are now available for Rs 7,499 and Rs 7,999, respectively.

According to the publication, the price hike is only applicable to Galaxy M02 units that are sold through offline stores. There was no change in the online pricing at Samsung’s e-shop, Amazon India, and Flipkart at the time of writing this post.

The Samsung Galaxy M02 has a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V notch screen. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6739W chipset and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. It has a front 5-megapixel camera. Its rear camera system includes a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It runs One UI 2.0 based on Android 10.
