Samsung has confirmed that it will be launching the Galaxy M02s in India at 1pm on January 7th. The microsite of the phone is now active on Samsung India’s website. As the moniker suggests, the handset will be arriving as the successor to the Galaxy M01s that debuted in India back in July.
The microsite has revealed the entire design and key specifications of the Galaxy M02s. The company has proudly boasted that it will be the company’s first smartphone to arrive with 4GB of RAM with sub-Rs 10,000 pricing.
Samsung Galaxy M02s specifications and features
The Samsung Galaxy M02s has a 6.5-inch Infinity-V notch display with HD+ resolution. The device will be powered by a Snapdragon processor and 4GB of RAM. These specs will allow the Galaxy M02s to deliver smooth multitasking and enhanced performance.
The handset will be backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery. In the teaser video released by the brand, the Galaxy M02s can be seen sporting a rectangular camera module. The module seems to be equipped with three cameras and an LED flash.
The Galaxy M02s was spotted in the list of devices that support Google Play. The listing had revealed that its codename is “a02q,” which suggested that it could be a rebranded or a slightly modified version of the Galaxy A02s that launched in November. Hence, there is a possibility that the Galaxy M02s could be equipped with the Snapdragon 450 chipset and a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera setup.
Samsung Galaxy M02s price in India
At launch, the Galaxy M01s was priced at Rs 9,999, but it is currently selling at a lower price of Rs 8,499. There is a possibility that the Galaxy M02s could be debuting with a price tag of Rs 9,999.
