Samsung Galaxy M02s with Snapdragon 450, 5,000mAh battery launched: price, specifications

Recently, Samsung confirmed that it will be launching the Galaxy M02s in India on January 7th. However, the budget-friendly handset has already gone official in Nepal. It has arrived as the successor to the Galaxy M01s that was announced in Q3 last year.

The Galaxy M02s come with a bigger and tall aspect ratio display than its predecessor. The handset is packed with a large-sized battery and it features a triple camera system on its back. In terms of specifications and design, the Galaxy M02s is almost identical to the Galaxy A02s that went official in November last year.

The Samsung Galaxy M02s debuts with Snapdragon 450 chipset

The Samsung Galaxy M02s is a polycarbonate-bodied smartphone that features a 6.5-inch TFT screen with an Infinity-V notch design. It produces HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. The selfie notch of the phone is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The back panel of the Galaxy M02s has a rectangular camera module. It includes a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel portrait lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and an LED flash. The smartphone runs One UI based on Android 10.

The Snapdragon 450 is present under the hood of the Galaxy M02s. The handset ships with 4GB of RAM and internal storage of 64GB. For storage expansion, it is equipped with a microSD card slot. A 5,000mAh battery backs the Galaxy M02s, and it comes with support for 15W charging.

In Nepal, the Galaxy M02s has landed with a price tag of NPR 15,999 (~Rs 10,000). Samsung India has revealed that it will be arriving in the country with a sub-Rs 10,000 pricing. It is speculated that it may cost Rs 9,999 at launch.
