Earlier this month, Samsung announced the launch of its new Galaxy M series smartphones. Today, at an event held in Delhi, the company has unveiled two new devices in the series, i.e. the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20. Made in India, the smartphones are targeted at young millennials. The M20 and M10 are identical in most aspects. Let’s take a look below at both the devices:
Beginning with the Galaxy M20, the device sports a 6.3-inch display bearing Full HD+ resolution. It flaunts an Infinity-V display design with a small notch for the front camera. The back of the phone houses a fingerprint sensor with a horizontally aligned dual camera setup. The Galaxy M20 can be availed in Ocean Blue and Charcoal Black color options.
On the camera front, the M20 features a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture accompanied by a 5MP ultra wide-angle secondary sensor. The camera comes with a Live Focus feature that lets users blur the background. An 8MP snapper is fitted on the front for clicking selfies. The front camera also offers a face unlock feature for additional security.
Under the hood, the M20 houses Samsung’s Exynos 7904 processor. It is available in two RAM/Storage configurations of 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. The internal memory is expandable up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The M20 draws its power from a massive 5,000mAh battery unit capable of lasting up to 2 days on a single charge. It also comes with 15W fast charging support. On the software front, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with a new Samsung Experience version 9.5 UX on the top optimized for fast and smooth performance.
The Galaxy M10 is a toned-down variant of Galaxy M20. The device features a slightly smaller 6.22-inch display and HD+ resolution. The M10 lacks a physical fingerprint scanner and relies on face unlock feature for security purposes. It has the same rear camera setup of 13MP + 5MP sensors. However, the front camera features a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calling.
In terms of hardware, the M10 comes with less powerful internals. The device is equipped with an Exynos 7870 chipset. It comes in two RAM/storage options of 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB. The storage is expandable up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card support. A smaller 3,400mAh battery fitted inside keeps the M10 running.

Samsung has priced its new Galaxy M smartphones aggressively. The Galaxy M20 bears a price tag of Rs 10,990 for the base variant (3GB/32GB) while the higher 4GB/64GB model will retail at Rs 12,990. The 2GB and 3GB variants of Galaxy M10 have been priced at Rs 7,990 and 8,990 respectively. As for availability, the new devices will available exclusively on Amazon and Samsung online store.
