Samsung had promised that it will be rolling out the Android Pie update for the Galaxy M Series in Q2 this year. The manufacturer has delivered on its promise and has started rolling out Android Pie update for Galaxy M Series.
The update rollout will be effective starting from June 3rd and will be bundled with the latest security patch. The stable Android 9.0 Pie update will be rolled out for the Galaxy M10, M20 and the M30. It is good to see Samsung updating its budget lineup with the latest Android update.
A quick recap, the Galaxy M20 comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ display and is backed by a mammoth 5,000mAh battery. The device is priced at Rs 11,990 for the 4GB + 64GB variant while the 3GB + 32GB variant is priced at Rs 9,990.
The top of the line Galaxy M30 sports a 6.4-inch AMOLED FHD+ display and is powered by an Exynos 7904 octa-core processor. The Galaxy M30 is available in dual tone Gradation Black and Gradation Blue colours. As far as pricing is concerned, the M30 starts at Rs 14,990 and the 6GB version is priced at Rs 17,990.
The Samsung Galaxy M10 is the most affordable of the lot. It is powered by Exynos 7870 octa-core processor and comes fitted with a 13-megapixel camera. It is worth mentioning that the dedicated storage slot is expandable up to 512GB. Samsung has priced the Galaxy M10 starting at Rs 7,990 while the 3GB variant is priced at Rs 8,990.
Android Pie offers a bevy of futuristic features like Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness, improved App actions, app timers, and other digital well-being features. It is good to see smartphone OEM’s pulling up their sock and offering the latest version of Android on budget and mid-range offerings.
