Samsung Galaxy M20 and M30 get Android 10 One UI 2.0 update in India

Recently, Samsung released the Android 10 update with One UI 2.0 for the Galaxy S10 series flagship smartphones. Now, the South Korean tech giant has rolled out the same update for the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30 smartphones as well. The update is rolling out to these handsets globally including India. The Galaxy M20’s latest firmware is dubbed M205FDDU3CSL4, while the Galaxy M30’s new software build is called M305FDDU3CSL4. The former’s weighs 2.02GB and the latter’s tips the scale at 1.29GB. The update is being released over the air in a phased manner, so it may take some time to reach to your Galaxy M20 or Galaxy M30 unit.

Apart from bringing the latest version of Android, the newest software update for the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30 delivers a handful of useful features. The update comes with the much-anticipated Dark Mode, which offers enhanced image, text, and colour adjustments for both day and night environments. There are new cleaner icons, system colours, and improved layouts for titles and buttons. The software upgrade brings new navigation gestures and a one-handed mode.

As for the other features, the Samsung Galaxy M20 and M30’s Android 10 update has a new battery usage graph that now provides information in a more detailed manner. There’s Digital Wellbeing feature onboard the firmware that lets you focus on important things. The Samsung Contacts app now has the trash feature, which keeps deleted contacts for 15 days before they are deleted forever. Lastly, the new software for the Galaxy M30 deletes two features called Portrait backdrop and Portrait dolly from the camera app.

Apart from the aforementioned features, you can also expect the Samsung Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30’s Android 10 update to offer enhanced stability, smoother performance, and general bug fixes. Notably, the new firmware also comes with the security patch for December 10th.
