Samsung‘s Galaxy M31 and Galaxy M21 among the most popular offerings from the South Korean brand in India. The brand has now silently increased the prices of these smartphones in the country by Rs 500 each. The Galaxy M21 now starts from Rs 14,499 and the Galaxy M31 comes with a starting price of Rs 17,499.
The price hike was first reported by 91mobiles and according to the report, the hike is applicable starting today and is valid only in offline stores across the country. The official website of Samsung in India is not reflecting the new prices.
Samsung Galaxy M21 and Galaxy M31 get a price hike in India
The Samsung Galaxy M21 was launched in April with the 4GB + 64GB variant priced at Rs 12,999 and 6GB + 128GB model priced at Rs 14,999. The two variants’ respective offline prices were Rs 13,999 and Rs 15,999 according to the source. Now, with the hike of Rs 500, the smartphone is retailing at Rs 14,499 for the 4GB model and Rs 16,499 for the 6GB variant in offline stores.
Coming to the Galaxy M31, the smartphone was retailing for Rs 16,999, Rs 17,999 and Rs 19,999, respectively for 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants. These models are now priced at Rs 17,499, Rs 18,499 and Rs 20,499, respectively.
Samsung Galaxy M21 and Galaxy M31 specifications and features
The Samsung Galaxy M31 ships with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full-HD+ resolution and an Infinity-U notch. Powering the smartphone is Exynos 9611 SoC with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB expandable storage. The phone features a massive 6,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging and boots the Android 10-based One UI 2.0. In the camera department, the smartphone offers a 64MP + 8MP + 5MP + 5MP quad-camera setup on the back and a 32MP selfie camera.
The Samsung Galaxy M21 has pretty much the same spec sheet except for the 48MP + 8MP + 5MP setup on the back and a 20MP selfie shooter on the front.
