Last year, Samsung had launched the Galaxy M20 as one of the first M-series phones from the company. It announced the Galaxy M10s and Galaxy M30s in the second half of the year. However, the company did not launch upgraded versions for M20 and M40 smartphones. Today, the South Korean company officially unveiled the Galaxy M21 smartphone in India as the successor to the Galaxy M20. While the Galaxy M20s is an entirely new phone, it borrows many of its specs from the Galaxy M30s. The key features of the Galaxy M21 phone include large display, big battery and 48-megapixel triple rear cameras.
Samsung Galaxy M21 specifications and features
The Samsung Galaxy M21 comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Infinity-U notch design. The display produces full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The rear shell of the phone is made out of polycarbonate with glossy finish.
It is equipped with the Exynos 9611 chipset, coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of native storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot onboard for additional storage.
The device runs Android 10 along with the latest One UI 2 custom user interface form Samsung. The phone draws power from a large 6,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging technology via USB Type-C.
The Galaxy M21 features a 20-megapixel selfie camera inside its display notch. The rear shell of the phone has a vertical triple camera system. A 48-megapixel lens is available as the primary shooter followed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with 123-degree field-of-view and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
Apart from the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, the Galaxy M21 has face unlock security feature. The other specs that can be found on the Galaxy M21 are dual 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack.
Samsung Galaxy M21 price in India
The Galaxy M21 has arrived in India in two colour editions – Midnight Blue and Raven Black. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage edition of the phone is priced at Rs 12,999. The pricing of the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is yet to be disclosed. The first sale of the smartphone will be held on March 23rd at 12pm. It will be available through Amazon India and Samsung’s online e-store.
