On January 28th, Samsung had launched the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones in India to target millennial useres. Through a tweet, Samsung India has now confirmed that it will be launching the Galaxy M30 smartphone on February 27th. Like the M10 and M20 phones, the M30 will be exclusively available for purchase through online channels.
The tweet shows the front and rear design of the Galaxy M30. The handset can be seen sporting a tall aspect ratio display with waterdrop-style notch. The back panel of the phone is fitted with a vertically mounted triple camera system. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the rear shell of the phone.

The launch event of the Galaxy M30 will be held on February 27th at 6pm. Rumors have it that the sales of the smartphone will begin in the first week of March.

The handset will feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity U display that will deliver full HD+ resolution, as confirmed by Samsung in a subsequent tweet. The Galaxy M20 is powered by the Exynos 7904 SoC. The same chipset is expected to be present under the hood of the upcoming Galaxy M30.
The handset is rumored to arrive with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. Since the Galaxy M10 and M20 are available in multiple RAM variants, the M30 may come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. The other feature that the M30 may borrow from the M20 is the behemoth 5,000mAh battery.
Its triple camera setup may include a primary sensor of 13-megapixels that will be coupled with 5-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, it may come equipped with a front-facing shooter of 15-megapixel. The handset could be loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo. The handset is expected to release in India with a starting price of Rs 14,990.
The Galaxy M30 will be facing competition from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 that is scheduled to go official on February 28th. The Vivo V15 Pro is launching in India on February 20th and the OPPO F11 Pro is also expected to hit the Indian markets in early March.
