Alleged Samsung Galaxy M31 appears on Geekbench with the Exynos 9611 chipset

Earlier this month, a report suggested that Samsung is working on two new Galaxy M series smartphones called the Galaxy M11 and Galaxy M31. The source claimed that the new handsets are in the early stages of development and will be launched at some point in January 2020. Ahead of the official launch, one of the new Galaxy M series device called the Samsung Galaxy M31 has allegedly been spotted in the database of the benchmarking app Geekbench. The listing in the database has revealed a few details regarding the specifications of the purported Galaxy M31.

The alleged Samsung Galaxy M31 has been benchmarked by Geekbench under the model number Samsung SM-M315F. The phone is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9611 processor, which will offer a clock speed of 1.74GHz. The chipset will be accompanied by 6GB of RAM. The handset has the Android 10 operating system. Lastly, the listing suggests that the purported Galaxy M31 will have 348 points and 1,214 points on the single-core and multi-core score on the Geekbench’s benchmark. Unfortunately, there’s no word regarding the other specifications, pricing, and availability details of the Galaxy M31 at the moment.

Samsung Galaxy M30 specifications and features

Talking about the predecessor of the Galaxy M31, the Galaxy M30 is a budget offering with a waterdrop notch above the screen, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and tripple main cameras. The phone’s highlights include a 6.4-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display, an Exynos 7904 processor, up to 6GB of RAM, up to 64GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone is available in India at the starting price of Rs 9,649 at the moment. The handset is being offered in two colour variants including Gradation Black and Gradation Blue. The phone can be purchased on the brand’s website, major e-commerce portals, and brick and mortar stores across the country.
