Samsung Galaxy M42 5G will launch in India on April 28th at 12pm. It is listed on Amazon confirming the smartphone’s availability on the e-commerce platform. The upcoming offering will be Samsung’s mid-range 5G-compatible device and also the first in the Galaxy M lineup.

Ahead of the launch, the South Korean brand has revealed some key specifications of the Galaxy M42 5G. The upcoming offering will be Samsung’s fourth device in Galaxy M-series this year after the Galaxy M12, M02 and M02s.

The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is confirmed to be powered by a Snapdragon 750G processor. The chipset is 5G compatible and will offer high download/upload speeds, low latency and a great gaming experience. The smartphone will come in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants.
Samsung says that the Galaxy M42 5G will be the first M-series phone to ship with the Samsung Pay feature for fast, safe and hassle-free transactions. The smartphone will also pack Knox Security features for protecting the user’s sensitive information from malware and malicious threats.
Apart from this, the Amazon landing page also reveals the design of the Galaxy M42 5G. It will feature an Infinity-U display surrounded by thin bezels. The volume rocker and power buttons are located on the right side. It is likely that the phone will be equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner since it lacks a conventional one. The back panel features horizontal stripes and houses a square-shaped camera module.
Details like screen size, camera and battery of the Galaxy M42 5G is not known yet. However, the smartphone is speculated to sport a 64MP quad-camera setup and draw its power from a 6,000mAh battery unit.
