The Samsung Galaxy M42 NFC certification has been spotted ahead of the official launch. This along with multiple listings spotted recently, hints that the smartphone’s launch is imminent. More recently, the official Samsung India website has put up a support page for the Galaxy M42 5G hinting at the India launch as well.

The Samsung Galaxy M42 is expected to be the first 5G-enabled smartphone in the Galaxy M-series. While the brand is yet to announce anything concrete about the device, we know a little bit from its appearance on Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth SIG, 3C, DEKRA, and more recently on Geekbench. We can now add the NFC certification to the growing list of Samsung Galaxy M42 5G certifications.

As mentioned before, the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is expected to go official very soon. Ahead of the launch, the smartphone has bagged the NFC certification. The certification reveals the model number to be SM-M426B/DS, which is the same as the one mentioned on the Galaxy M42 5G’s support page on the official website.

However, apart from confirming the model number and the support for NFC, the certification doesn’t reveal any other details about the upcoming 5G smartphone.

At the moment, there are no concrete details about the smartphone except it will be a mid-range device with 5G support. The Geekbench listing revealed that the smartphone will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset with 4GB RAM and Android 11.

Moreover, the 3C certification of the handset revealed that it will feature a 6,000mAh battery. A few reports have claimed that the Galaxy M42 5G will feature a 64MP primary camera at the rear. There’s no word on the rest of the camera setup and other details as of now. Leaks have also revealed that the phone will have 128GB storage onboard.

If the rumours are to be believed, the Galaxy M42 will have a similar spec sheet to that of the Galaxy A42. To recollect, the Galaxy A42 features a 6.6-inch HD+ sAMOLED display, Snapdragon 750G SoC, up to 8GB RAM, up to 128GB storage, 48MP quad rear camera, 20MP selfie camera, and 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
