Samsung Galaxy M44 5G Geekbench listing

The Geekbench listing of the Galaxy M44 5G reveals that it has achieved 1531 points in the single-core test and 3771 points in the multi-core test. The CPU details and the GPU information available in the listing confirm that the device is powered by the two-year-old Snapdragon 888 chipset. The listing further mentions that the Galaxy M44 5G has 6GB of RAM and Android 13.

A thing to note here is that the letter “K” mentioned in the model number of the device indicates that it is a variant planned for the South Korean tech giant. Hence, it is unclear whether Samsung plans to launch it in other markets, including India.

The Galaxy M44 5G appears to be the successor to the Galaxy M42, which was announced back in 2021. The Galaxy M42 5G came equipped with the Snapdragon 750G. Hence, it seems understandable to see the Galaxy M44 5G sport a Snapdragon 8-series chip. Hopefully, upcoming reports will shed more light on the other specs of the M44.

To recall, the Galaxy M42 5G came with a 6.6-inch S-AMOLED HD+ display, a Snapdragon 750G chip, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging. It was equipped with a 20-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 5-megapixel (macro) + 5-megapixel (depth) quad-camera system. The M42 was priced at Rs 21,999 at launch.
