Yesterday, Samsung quietly announced the Galaxy M51 smartphone in Germany. The India launch of the smartphone was already confirmed, since the phone’s landing page was spotted on Amazon last week. The landing page had only revealed the front design of the phone and it had no information on its specs and launch date. Amazon has now updated the landing page, revealing that the Galaxy M51 will go official at 12pm on September 10th in India.
The updated landing page has revealed the front and rear design of the phone. The specifications of the smartphone are already known since it has already been launched in Germany.
Samsung Galaxy M51 specifications and features
The Samsung Galaxy M51 has a 6.7-inch S-AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution. The Infinity-O screen offers a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 730 SoC and 6GB of RAM. There are rumours that the Indian variant may come with 8GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 128GB and it has a dedicated microSD card slot for expanding the storage further.
For shooting selfies, the Galaxy M51 features a front-facing 32-megapixel camera. Its rear is fitted with a quad-camera system that comprises a 64-megapixel main camera, a 123-degree 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, a 5-megapixel depth sensor and a 5-megapixel macro lens. The USP of the phone is its massive 7,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy M51 runs One UI based Android 10. The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Samsung Galaxy M51 price in India (expected)
There is no word on the pricing of the Galaxy M51 in India. It will be priced higher than the Galaxy M31s that went official last month. The top-end variant of the M31s costs Rs 21,499. Hence, there is a possibility that the Galaxy M51 could be priced around Rs 25,000 in India. In Germany, the handset is priced at €360 (~Rs 31,500) and it comes in Black and White colours.
