On: March 24, 2020

Samsung is working on the successor to the Galaxy M40 smartphone. While the device was expected to be called the Galaxy M41, fresh information suggests that it could be called Galaxy M51. Recent CAD-based renders from notable gadget tipster Onleaks have revealed a few features of the upcoming device. The list includes a larger display, which could be the reason behind the Galaxy M51 moniker, a triple camera setup at the rear, a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top edge, and a USB Type-C connector at the bottom. As of now, there is no official confirmation of the existence of the device.

The renders reveal that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M51 (or Galaxy M41) sports a 6.5-inch display with a single punch-hole towards the top left corner housing the front camera. At the rear, the device sports a rectangular triple-camera module complete with an LED flash. The camera module is slightly thicker than the rear panel, which also houses a fingerprint scanner.

The handset measures 162.5 x 77.5 x 8.5 mm, while the camera module is 1mm thicker. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge while the microphone and external speakers are placed on the bottom.

Considering the current state of affairs owing to the global COVID-19 pandemic, it is safe to assume that the Galaxy M51 will arrive around Q2 2020. Previous reports suggest that the handset went into production during December 2019, which hints at an imminent launch.
