Samsung launched its latest M-series smartphone, the Galaxy M51, as the first smartphone in India with a massive 7,000mAh battery. The Galaxy M51 also features an Infinity-O Super AMOLED display, 64-megapixel quad cameras, reverse charging, and other commendable features.
The new launch has been priced at Rs 24,999 for its base variant in India and at this price, it goes up against some heavyweights. The first contender is the OnePlus Nord, which marks OnePlus’ comeback in the mid-range smartphone segment. Next up is Realme’s latest X-series offering called the Realme X3, which also starts at Rs 24,999 and has some serious specs to boot. Let’s find out how the Samsung Galaxy M51 stacks up against these two contenders.
Samsung Galaxy M51 vs OnePlus Nord vs Realme X3: price in India
The Samsung Galaxy M51 is being offered in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB configurations. Samsung has priced these models at Rs 24,999 and Rs 26,999, respectively. The latest handset will be available for purchase on Amazon from September 18th at 12pm.
The OnePlus Nord comes in three configurations – 6GB + 64GB, 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants. These models have been priced at Rs 24,999, Rs 27,999, and Rs 29,999 respectively. The OnePlus Nord can be picked up in Blue Marble and Gray Onyx colour options.
Lastly, the Realme X3 also starts at Rs 24,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and goes up to Rs 25,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The device is being sold in India through the Flipkart and Realme’s website. It is available in Glacier Blue and Arctic White colours.
While the OnePlus Nord gives more options to choose from, the base variant offers half the storage as the other two phones, while the other two models are considerably more expensive. On the other hand, both the Samsung Galaxy M51 and Realme X3 offer identical configurations, but the latter offers the top-end variant at a more affordable price point.

Samsung Galaxy M51 vs OnePlus Nord vs Realme X3: display
Coming to the display, all three smartphones are equipped with a punch-hole panel. The Samsung Galaxy M51 sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with an Infinity-O design. The screen offers FHD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. There is a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the display from accidental scratches.
The OnePlus Nord features a slightly smaller 6.44-inch display. The Fluid AMOLED display offers FHD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer on top. However, the Nord offers a 90Hz refresh rate, which is a step above the standard 60Hz panel of the Galaxy M51.
The Realme X3 ships with a 6.6-inch display but with an LCD panel. The smartphone makes up for this with the super-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Other than that, the display comes with FHD+ resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer on top.

Samsung Galaxy M51 vs OnePlus Nord vs Realme X3: performance and software
All three smartphones have a Qualcomm processor ticking at their core. Starting with the Samsung Galaxy M51, it’s powered by the mid-range Snapdragon 730G chipset with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The handset boots One UI based on Android 10.
The OnePlus Nord is a step above with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with support for 5G. The phone also offers the highest RAM configuration up to 12GB and up to 256GB storage. In the software department, the phone boots OxygenOS 10.5 based on Android 10.
The Realme X3 steals the show with its flagship Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. The phone offers the same configurations as Galaxy M51, but boots Realme UI based on Android 10, out of the box.

In the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy M51 and Realme X3 are 64-megapixel quad-camera devices, whereas the Nord has a 48-megapixel quad-camera setup. Starting with the Galaxy M51, the 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 main sensor is backed by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro unit. In the front, there’s a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 selfie camera.
Moving on to the Realme X3, it also has a 64-megapixel primary camera, but with a Samsung GW1 sensor. The primary lens is accompanied by a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The Realme X3 is equipped with a 16-megapixel camera on the front with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
Coming to the OnePlus Nord, the smartphone has a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 main camera backed by 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 5-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. In the front, the OnePlus Nord is equipped with 32-megapixel camera with a secondary 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.

However, if cameras and battery are your priority, the Galaxy M51 should be your pick.
