Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite with Exynos 9810 appears on Geekbench, gets certified by FCC

Since September, the rumour mill has been speculating that Samsung could be working on an affordable edition of the Galaxy Note 10. The official name of the device is currently under wraps, but the publications are referring to this device as the Galaxy Note 10 Lite. The third phone in the latest Galaxy Note series after the Note 10 and Note 10+ phones is said to bear the SM-N770F model number. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved the S Pen for the upcoming SM-N770F smartphone. The said model number has also appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform with some key specs.

The FCC certification has revealed that the S Pen for Galaxy Note 10 Lite will enabled with Bluetooth connectivity. The FCC documents also revealed that the S-Pen will be equipped with a gyroscope that will bring support for air gestures like the stylus that comes with the Galaxy Note 10. The accessory measures 5.80 x 4.35 x 105.18mm, which is identical the Note 10 S Pen.

The external photos of the Galaxy Note 10 Lite’s S Pen are withheld by FCC until May 2020, which is nine months after the launch of the Galaxy Note 10 series. Also, it is three months after the expected February launch of the Galaxy S11 series. If the Galaxy Note 10 Lite arrives by May 2020, it is unlikely to interfere with sales of the S11 series.

Galaxy Note 10 Lite Geekbench Listing

The Galaxy Note 10 Lite has surfaced on the Geekbench benchmarking platform today. The SM-N770F model is powered by the Exynos 9810 chipset that has a base frequency 1.79GHz. It is the same SoC that the company used earlier, to power the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 devices. The chipset is accompanied by 6GB of RAM and the device is running Android 10. In the single-core and multi-core benchmark tests of Geekbench 5, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite scored 667 and 2030 points, respectively. Rumours have it that the phone could be equipped with 128GB of native storage and a punch-hole display like the other Note 10 models.

A recent report on Sammobile had revealed Samsung is working on another device that has a SM-AN81F model name. It seems to be the upcoming Galaxy A81 smartphone. However, the presence of letter ‘N’ in its model number which is normally used by Samsung for its Note series phone suggests that the Galaxy A81 phone may ship with a S Pen. It is also being speculated the Galaxy Note 10 Lite could be rebadged as the Galaxy A81 in some markets.
