Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ start receiving stable Android 10 update in India

Samsung had announced its Android 10 roadmap last month. However, the Galaxy S10 series started receiving OS updates ahead of its schedule. Now, a couple of weeks later, the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ have also started receiving the Android 10 update. Notably, according to the official roadmap, the smartphones were scheduled to get the OS update in January. The Android 10 stable update is rolled out to users across the globe including India. The update also comes with Android’s security patch for the month of December 2019. The update is being released over-the-air in phases, so it may take some time to reach your Galaxy Note 10 or Note 10+ unit. 

Galaxy Note 10 series Android 10 update also brings OneUI 2.0 interface

The Android 10 update on the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 also brings the brand’s new OneUI 2.0 that was introduced in July this year. The build number of the update is N975FXXU1BSL7 / N975FOXM1BSL7 / N975FXXU1BSL4, depending on the variant. The size of the update is around 1912MB and users can check for the update by heading over to Settings > Software update on your smartphone. The latest software version comes with a lot of new features like updated interface, system-wide dark mode, full-screen gesture navigations, and digital wellbeing and more.

To recap the specs, the Galaxy Note 10 series feature a curved S-AMOLED display with a centre-aligned punch hole camera. The standard Note 10 offers a 6.3-inch FHD+ display while the Note 10+ comes with a 6.8-inch screen bearing QHD+ resolution. Both the smartphones are equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 10MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy Note series comes with a triple rear camera setup comprising of 12MP wide-angle lens, a 16MP ultra-wide angle sensor and a 12MP telephoto camera. The Plus variant also comes with an additional ToF sensor.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 10 series is powered by Exynos 9825 chipset. The devices are equipped with a vapour chamber cooling system. The Note 10 comes in a single variant of 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, while the Note 10+ packs up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The Galaxy Note 10 has a 3,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, while the Galaxy Note 10+ has a 4,300mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Lastly, the Note 10 series comes with S-pen, Samsung DeX support, AKG tuned stereo speakers, and USB-C Ports. 

Galaxy Note 10 price in India

The standard Galaxy Note 10 costs Rs 69,999. The 12GB+256GB variant of Note 10+ carries a price tag of Rs 79,999, while the higher-end variant with 12GB+512GB RAM and storage retails at Rs 89,999. There’s one more model of the Galaxy Note 10+ with 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage that costs Rs 1,13,900.
