Samsung held its Galaxy Unpacked event yesterday. The South Korean brand unveiled five devices including its flagship Note 20 series, the Galaxy Tab S7 duo, Galaxy Z Fold2, Galaxy Watch3 and Galaxy Buds Live. The Galaxy Note 20’s pricing and availability was announced for the European market at the time of launch.
Now Samsung has revealed the pricing and pre-booking offers of its latest flagship offering for Indian customers. The smartphones carry a lower price tag compared to their European counterparts. Apart from the Galaxy Note 20 series, we expect Samsung to announce pricing of other devices in the coming weeks.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra specifications and features
Both the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra 5G feature Infinity-O displays with an S-AMOLED panel on the top. The former comes with a 6.7-inch flat screen with FHD+ resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The later offers a 6.9-inch curved display bearing a QHD resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate panel. The Ultra 5G model is shielded by the latest Gorilla Glass 7 while the standard variant comes with Gorilla Glass 5. Both the phones are IP68 rated dust and water-resistant.
In the imaging department, the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra 5G sport a rectangular camera module. The setup on the former consists of a 12MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 64MP telephoto lens. The device supports 3x hybrid zoom, up to 30x super-resolution zoom, Space Zoom and OIS. On the other hand, the Ultra 5G variant is equipped with a 108MP main camera, 12MP periscope lens, and a 12MP superwide unit. The smartphone offers up to 50x super-resolution zoom and 8K video recording support. The Note 20 series feature a 10MP selfie camera on the front.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Note 20 series is powered by the Exynos 990 chipset in India. The Ultra 5G model packs 12GB RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The Note 20 LTE option is offered in only 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The standard and Ultra 5G variants are backed by a 4,300 and 4,500mAh battery units respectively with support for 25W fast charging as well as wireless and reverse wireless charging. The smartphones run OneUI 2.5 based on Android 10. Connectivity options include dual SIM, eSIM support, WiFI 6, USB-C and dual-frequency GPS.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra 5G price in India
The Galaxy Note 20 carries a price tag of Rs 77,999 for the 8GB + 256GB option. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G will be available for Rs 1,04,999 with 256GB internal storage. The smartphones are up for pre-booking from today on Samsung.com and across leading retail stores. Customers can avail benefits worth Rs 7,000 on the standard Note 20 and Rs 10,000 on the Note 20 Ultra 5G variant. HDFC bank cardholders are eligible for Rs 6,000 and Rs 9,000 cashback on the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra 5G respectively. Customers can also avail additional discount of Rs 5,000 on exchanging their current Galaxy smartphone.
