The South Korean tech giant, Samsung usually launches its Galaxy Note series in August every year. Amidst the coronavirus pandemic and resulting lockdowns, Samsung Electronics director Jong-min Lee recently confirmed that the company will launch the next Galaxy Note series flagship and Fold 2 as per schedule, and we can expect an online-only event for the launch of the upcoming devices.
Recently, Pigtou shared CAD-based renders of the Galaxy Note 20 revealing a Galaxy S20 like rectangular camera setup and a flat Infinity-O display. Now, the same source in partnership with OnLeaks has revealed alleged CAD-based renders of the more premium Galaxy Note 20+. Let’s take a look at what we can expect from the top-end Galaxy Note 20 series device.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ renders
According to the report by Pigtou, the Galaxy Note 20+ will measure 165mm x 77.2mm x 7.6mm, which is significantly larger than the Note 20, which measures 161.8mm x 75.3mm x 8.5mm as per the publication’s previous report. According to the source, the Plus variant will feature a curved edge 6.9-inch panel, compared to the flat 6.7-inch display expected on the Galaxy Note 20. The display seems to have a centred single punch-hole cut out with minimal bezels on the forehead and the bottom chin.
Coming to the rear panel, the Galaxy Note 20+ appears have a rectangular camera island in the top left corner, which is jutting out quite a bit. We can see three large sensors sitting vertically inside the module with a depth sensor and LED flash on the side. The bottom lens appears to be a periscope-style lens for zooming. As for other elements, power and volume buttons are housed on the right spine. We can see the USB Type-C port, speaker grille, microphone and the S-Pen slot at the bottom.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ specifications and features
As of now, not much is known about the specifications but we can expect it to be similar to the Galaxy S20 series. We can expect the smartphones to be powered by either Exynos 990 or Snapdragon 865 SoC depending on the region. The standard and Plus variants are rumoured to be powered by a 4,000 and 4,500mAh battery, respectively.
The Plus variant was recently spotted on the Geekbench, revealing a few details like probable Snapdragon 865+ SoC, 8GB RAM and Android 10.
