Yesterday, Winfuture.de shared the leaked specs and renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra. Today, the publication has revealed the specs and images of the vanilla Galaxy Note 20. Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Note 20 series alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Tab S7 series on August 5th.
Like the Ultra model, the Galaxy Note 20 also features a 64-megapixel triple camera setup and optimizations for Xbox Games.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 specifications and features
The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will be arriving in 4G and 5G editions depending on the market. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch S-AMOLED flat display that offers 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. In comparison, the Ultra model has a larger, higher resolution curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Note 20’s Infinity-O display is integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The report states that the bottom bezel of the phone is slightly thick.
The Exynos 990 5G chipset will fuel the Note 20 variant releasing in European markets. In some other markets, Samsung will launch a Snapdragon 865 Plus variant. The SoC is supported by 8GB of RAM. The built-in storage capacity of the Note 20 is 256GB. Surprisingly, there is no microSD card slot on the device.
The phone runs Android 10 with One UI 2.x . The Note 20’s S Pen stylus offers a latency of 26 milliseconds, which less than the 9 milliseconds response rate offered by Note 20 Ultra’s S Pen. Nevertheless, it will offer a regular pen-like experience. It has a 4,300mAh battery that can charge to 50 percent from scratch in 30 minutes. The phone will support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
A 10-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture will be available on the Note 20. The rear camera module will include a 12-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 3x optical zoom and 30x Space Zoom support. The Note 20 will be capable of shooting 8K videos.
The Galaxy Note 20 supports Wireless DeX that makes it possible to experience desktop PC experience by wireless connecting it to an external display. The phone will support clouding gaming and it will be optimized to work with Microsoft’s Project xCloud and Xbox Games Pass. When it comes to connectivity, the Note20 will support dual SIM, eSIM, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C 3.2, NFC, dual-frequency GPS. It will come with AKG-tuned stereo speakers and an IP68 rated chassis.
Lastly, the Note 20 will reportedly feature a plastic construction, which is surprising considering that previous Samsung flagships have all featured a glass body.
Samsung Galaxy Note20 pricing and availability
The publication did not mention anything on the pricing of the Galaxy Note 20. Considering that the Note 20 Ultra could be priced over €1,000 in Europe, the vanilla variant will be priced cheaper. The phone will be available in three colours – Mystic Bronze, Mystic Gray, and Mystic Green.
