Samsung is all set to launch its new flagship, the Galaxy Note 8 on August 23, claim reports. This launch date is scheduled a few days prior to the usual Note launch every year. Officially, Samsung has only revealed that the Galaxy Note 8 will be launched later next month.
Although Samsung hasn’t confirmed the date yet, August 23rd seems a likely choice for two reasons in particular.
a.) Samsung can start supplying the phone globally in September itself.
b.) It can capitalize on the sales in case Apple delays the iPhone launch.
There have been rumours that Apple is going to delay the iPhone launch due to unavailability of some important hardware components. This will leave a slot in which Samsung can heavily push its Note 8 and try to make the most out of it.
We usually get to see a new Note phone by Samsung every year after Apple launches its iPhone. Mostly, this happens at the IFA trade show in Berlin. This year seems to be an exception.
A few concepts of the Note 8 were recently leaked along with its likely specifications. It was also being said that the new Note might be the most expensive Samsung phone yet. The phone might have a dual camera setup, Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB of RAM and a superb 6.3-inch AMOLED display.
After the Note 7 fiasco last year, Samsung has got a renewed opportunity to show the world how capable they are in making top-notch phablets. Let’s wait for August 23rd to see how much the Note 8 manages to impress us.
