Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite launching in India on January 23rd

South Korean brand Samsung had unveiled the Galaxy S10 Lite earlier this month. Soon after, the smartphone was listed on the e-commerce platform Flipkart in India. However, the teaser page didn’t reveal the exact launch date, until now. The page has now revealed that the Galaxy S10 Lite is scheduled to launch in India on January 23rd. The teaser page also confirms the specifications of the Indian variant. Notably, the Galaxy S10 Lite is a toned-down variant of the Galaxy S10. 

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite specifications and features

The Galaxy S10 Lite flaunts a new design compared to the S10 series. The device sports a 6.7-inch Infinity-O display with a centred punch-hole cutout. It is fitted with a Super AMOLED panel on top and offers full HD+ resolution. On the back, the Galaxy S10 Lite features a triple camera setup in a square module. It comprises of a 48MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro camera. Up front, the smartphone comes with a 32MP snapper for selfies. The Galaxy S10 Lite can be availed in three colour options – Prism White, Prism Black and Prism Blue. 

The Galaxy S10 Lite will arrive with a Snapdragon 855 processor instead of Samsung’s own Exynos chipset under the hood. It will be offered in 6GB and 8GB RAM options, with both variants offering 128GB internal storage. The smartphone will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery and will run OneUI 2.0 based on Android 10. 

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite price in India

The Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to debut at a starting price tag of around Rs 40,000. There will be some launch offers which will further bring down the price. It’s just a matter of days till the launch event on January 23rd where we will know more.
