Samsung is expected to launch its next flagship phones, the Galaxy S11e, Galaxy S11 and Galaxy S11+ in February 2020. Reputed tipster OnLeaks had shared renders of the Galaxy S11+ last month. The said renders revealed the design of the device, but did not detail the rear camera setup. OnLeaks has now shared new renders that mainly focus on the rear cameras of the S11+ The tipster claimed that the previous renders were of an early-stage prototype, whereas the new renders are based on a production-ready variant. The new images confirm the presence of four rear cameras.
Samsung Galaxy S11+ rear camera renders
Until the recent discovery, the Samsung Galaxy S11+ was believed to sport five rear cameras. However, the recent render by OnLeaks reveals a quad-rear camera setup, complete with an LED flash housed within a tidier module. According to the image, there are three sensors on the left and one on the right, while the LED flash is placed below the single sensor. Last week notable leakster IceUniverse revealed some details on the camera configuration of the S11+.
The Galaxy S11+ is rumored to sport a 108-megapixel primary lens with the new 9-1 Bayer technology. Additional information includes clarification on the sensors. Starting from the top, the three sensors on the left possibly includes a ultrawide lens, a primary 108-megapixel lens and a periscope sensor with 5x optical zoom. The single lens on the right is possibly the ToF sensor.
According to previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy S11+ flaunts an edge-to-edge display with almost non-existent bezels on the top and bottom. The display which curves towards the sides, and sports a punch-hole design in the center, housing the front camera. The rear features a glass panel that is also curved towards the edges. The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge, while the USB Type-C port and the speaker grille is located on the bottom edge. The device measures 166.9 x 76 x 8.8 mm.
Samsung Galaxy S11+ specifications and features
According to leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S11+ will sport a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with an in-screen fingerprint reader. The device is likely powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC or Exynos 990 chipset depending on the market. The SoC could be coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of native storage. The smartphone should run Android 10 out-of-the-box with Samsung’s One UI 2.0 skin on top.
