Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G has quietly launched in global markets. The smartphone now comes in a Snapdragon 865 variant. To recall, the Galaxy S20 FE was launched in 4G and 5G versions last October. The former was powered by the Exynos 990 SoC while the latter arrived with the Snapdragon 865.
The new Galaxy S20 FE 4G variant is identical to the Exynos model, apart from the Snapdragon chipset. While the Snapdragon 865 chipset does support 5G, the support for the next-gen networks has been disabled on the 4G variant.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G specifications and features
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G comes with a 6.5-inch punch-hole sAMOLED screen bearing an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone features an in-display fingerprint scanner and a rectangular camera module.
The Galaxy S20 FE 4G sports triple rear cameras consisting of a 12MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto unit. The device is fitted with a 32MP front-facing snapper.
Internally, the latest Galaxy S20 FE 4G is equipped with a Snapdragon 865 chipset compared to Exynos 990 on the older variant. It packs 8GB RAM and offers up to 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone is backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 25W fast charging. It runs the latest Android 11 out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G pricing and availability
The Galaxy S20 FE 4G is offered in Blue, Orange and Violet colour options. The smartphone costs RM 2,299 (~Rs 41,291) for the 8GB + 128GB variant and can be purchased from the Shopee website in Malaysia. In Vietnam, the latest device retails at VND 15,490,000 (~Rs 49,580) for the 8GB + 256GB option.
It’s unclear if the Galaxy S20 FE 4G with Snapdragon 865 will arrive in India, since the Exynos 990 variant is already available here.
