Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra camera configuration leaked

Based on recent reports, we have learned that the Samsung Galaxy S20 series includes the Galaxy S20 5G, Galaxy S20+ 5G and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G phones. The S20 and S20+ are also expected to come in non-5G versions. Their specs will be identical to their 5G counterparts. Now, a concrete leak courtesy of reliable tipster Ice Universe has appeared to reveal the camera configurations of the Galaxy S20 series. The leak tells that the cameras of the S20 lineup will be a mix of Samsung and Sony sensors.

Samsung Galaxy S20 CAD renders showcase its Infinity-O display and triple rear cameras

The Galaxy S20 has a triple camera setup on its rear. It features a Sony IMX555 12-megapixel primary shooter with a large pixel size of 1.8µm. The second lens is a 64-megapixel Samsung S5KGW2 telephoto lens which seems to be an updated version of the 64-megapixel ISOCELL GW1 sensor. The third one is a 12-megapixel Samsung S5K2LA ultra-wide sensor. For shooting selfies, the Galaxy S20 possesses a 10-megapixel Sony IMX375 Dual Pixel AF camera with a pixel size of 1.2µm. The same selfie camera is available on the Galaxy S10 series and Note 10 lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy S20+ is equipped with a quad camera system on its back. It consists of the same 12-megapixel main lens, 64-megapixel telephoto shooter and 12-megapixel ultrawide lens that are available on the S20. In addition, there is a Sony IMX516 3D ToF (Time of Flight) sensor as the fourth lens. The S20+ is also equipped with a Sony IMX375 10-megapixel front camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is the most powerful handset in the S20 series. It an advanced quad camera setup as compared to the S20+ model. It features a 108-megapixel Samsung S5KHM1 primary lens, a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel Quad Bayer telephoto lens with 0.8µm pixel size, a 44-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL S5KGH1 1/2.65” ultrawide lens with 0.7µm pixel size and a new Sony IMX518 3D ToF sensor. For capturing selfies, the Galaxy S20 Ultra has the same 10-megapixel front-facing that can be found on the S20 and S20+ phones.

Samsung will be unleashing the Galaxy S20 series on February 11th. It is likely that the Galaxy Z Flip clamshell foldable phone will also be announced at the same event.
