Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G’s launch seems imminent as it has received approval from the Bluetooth SIG authority. The handset will be arriving as the successor to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G from last year.

Last week, Samsung inadvertently teased the Galaxy S21 FE 5G through a back-to-school ad on Instagram. While the post was deleted soon after, it did hint that the company could be planning to launch the Galaxy S21 FE 5G soon. It will be the most affordable device in the S21 series.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G receives Bluetooth SIG certification
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G with model number SM-G990N has been certified by the Bluetooth SIG authority. Its variants with model numbers such as SM-G990B and SM-G990B_SD have also received Bluetooth certifications. These listings confirm that the device will carry support for Bluetooth 5.0. Unfortunately, the listings have no information on the other specs of the phone.
Usually, smartphones are known to go official around a month after they receives Bluetooth certification. The South Korean company could be planning to launch it in September or October.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G specifications and features (expected)
The Galaxy S21 FE 5G’s Chinese variant with model number SM-G9900 was approved by the TENAA telecom authority of China back in June. The listing revealed its entire specifications. In addition, reputed tipster Evan Blass has also shared a couple of press renders of the smartphones in the recent past.
The Galaxy S21 FE 5G has a 6.4-inch AMOLED punch-hole display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It is backed by a 4,370mAh battery and it is expected to carry support for 25W fast charging. It is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chip and 8GB of RAM. The smartphone will arrive in 128GB / 256GB storage choices. There is a possibility that the company may sell the Exynos variant of the phone in certain markets.
The smartphone features a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel (ultra0wide) + 8-megapixel (telephoto) triple camera unit. Other key features of the smartphone include a 120Hz refresh rate, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a microSD card slot, and IP67 or IP68 rating. Leaked renders have revealed that it will be available in multiple colours like green, white, blue, violet, and grey.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G price (expected)
South Korean publication Herald Corp recently reported that the upcoming Galaxy S21 FE 5G could be priced between KRW 700,000 (~Rs 44,500) and KRW 800,000 (~Rs 50,800) in South Korea. Hence, it appears that it could be more affordable than the Galaxy S20 FE that costs KRW 899,990 (~Rs 57,100) in the home market.
