Recent reports have revealed that the Galaxy S21 lineup that includes three devices such as the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra will be made official in January 2021 and its sales will begin soon after. According to the publication, the Galaxy S21 series seems to be a solid upgrade over its predecessor. While there is no accurate information on its pricing, the report claims that the South Korean company may lower the prices of the Galaxy S21 phones to stay competitive in a bid to match the recession and global pandemic.

In line with previous rumours, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected to arrive with S Pen support. As reports have claimed, it will not be available in the retail package of the device but could be made available as an optional accessory. There are speculations that the company may sell special cases that will store the S Pen outside the body of the S21 Ultra.
The leak has no information on the front cameras of the Galaxy S21 models. The Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus will have a triple rear cameras that will include a 12-megapixel main shooter, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens.
The S21 Ultra has a new quad-camera setup with an enhanced 108-megapixel main camera, which is the second-generation version of the 108-megapixel sensor found on the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy S20 Ultra. The Ultra model’s camera module includes a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and another 10x optical “super” telephoto sensor. The latter will bring back the 100X Space Zoom feature.
On the S21 Ultra, all cameras will carry support for 60fps 4K recording as well as 60fps in Super Steady Stabilisation mode, and the ability to toggle between 30fps and 60fps based on lighting conditions. Other expected photography features of the S21 Ultra include a dual recording mode that uses the front and rear cameras simultaneously and 8K video recording at 30fps.
The report does not have any information on RAM and storage capacities of the Galaxy S21 trio. Depending on the market, the S21 models will be fuelled by the Snapdragon 875 mobile platform or the upcoming Exynos 2100. The Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra will feature 4,000mAh, 4,800mAh battery and 5,000mAh batteries, respectively. All three phones will come with 5G support and Bluetooth 5.1. The S21 and S21 Plus will have Wi-Fi 6, whereas the Ultra will come with Wi-Fi 6E, which is said to be two times faster than Wi-Fi 6. The S21+ and S21 Ultra will come with Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) short-range wireless communication protocol like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, but with higher frequencies. It was first made available on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and on the S21 Ultra, it will be track Samsung’s upcoming SmartThings tags and later on, will also support digital car keys.
As far as the design is concerned, the publication claims that the CAD renders of the three phones that appeared in recent months are accurate. The S21 will be available in Phantom Violet, Phantom Gray, Phantom White, and Phantom Violet. The Plus model will come in hues such as Phantom Silver, Phantom Black, and Phantom Violet. The Ultra edition will come two options like Phantom Silver and Phantom Black.
The renders had revealed that the S21 phones will have punch-hole displays like S20 series, with only the S21 Ultra having curved edges. The rear camera module on all three phones is fused with the frame of the device. New information states that the frame and camera bump will be available in different colours. For instance, the Phantom Black colour variant has a black coloured frame and camera housing. The Phantom Violet and Phantom Pink colour editions will have a copper body. The Phantom White model’s frame will be of bronze colour with a bit of blue tint like the older Galaxy Note 7’s blue and gold editions.
The Galaxy S21 is expected to come with a polycarbonate rear, while the S21 Ultra will have a glass back. It is unclear whether the Plus variant will have a plastic or glass rear.
