Samsung also shared a teaser video of the Galaxy Unpacked event with a tagline ‘Welcome to the Everyday Epic.’ The company is potentially expected to unveil some more devices alongside the upcoming Galaxy S21 series.
To recall, Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 series last year in February. So this year, we will see the debut of the upcoming flagship i.e. Galaxy S21 series much earlier. The teaser video shared by Samsung reveals a redesigned camera module with three sensors as seen in the leaks and renders. Samsung doesn’t divulge other details of its upcoming Unpacked event.
Galaxy S21 series specifications and features (expected)
The Galaxy S21 series will include the standard, Plus and Ultra variants. All three smartphones will feature a centre-aligned punch-hole AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rates and HDR support. The S21 standard and plus variants will come with a 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch screens respectively, while the Ultra model will offer a 6.8-inch display.
Design-wise, the rear camera module on the S21 series blends in with the side of the frame. This eliminates the camera bump. The S21 and S21+ will sport a triple camera setup while the S21 Ultra will house four camera sensors. In the front, the former two are expected to feature a 10MP selfie snapper and the latter is tipped to come with a 40MP shooter.
The Galaxy S21 series is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 888 processor in markets like the US, while in countries like India, it will arrive with the brand’s Exynos 2100 SoC. The Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra may pack 4,500, 4,800 and 5,000mAh batteries respectively with support for 25W charging. The smartphones will ship with OneUI 3.1 based on the latest Android 11.
Samsung is also rumoured to launch the Galaxy S21 Ultra variant with S-pen support.
