Samsung Galaxy S22 price in India has dropped after the launch of the Galaxy S23 series. Yesterday, Samsung held a mega launch event to announce the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra in various markets, including India. The vanilla model is now up for pre-booking with a starting price of Rs 74,999 in the country.
As compared to its launch price, the Galaxy S22 is now available with a massive price cut of Rs 15,000. In terms of design, the Galaxy S23 is not too different from its predecessor. Continue reading ahead to learn about the revised prices of the Galaxy S22 variants.

As can be seen above, the Galaxy S22 variants, such as 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, were priced at Rs 72,999 and Rs 76,999, respectively, at launch. Now, both models are listed on Samsung India’s website with a price cut of Rs 15,000 each. The base model is now priced at Rs 57,999, whereas the higher version costs Rs 61,999. The S22 is also available with revised pricing on Amazon and Flipkart.
In comparison, the 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants of the Galaxy S23 are priced at Rs 74,999 and Rs 79,999, respectively. Buyers can avail of the Galaxy S22 in multiple colours, such as Phantom White, Phantom Black, Green, Pink Gold, and Bora Purple.

The Galaxy S22 has a 6.1-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. It has a 10-megapixel camera with autofocus support for snapping selfies. The back panel of the device features a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S22 has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. It has a 3,700mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging support. The device has received the One UI 5.0-based Android 13 upgrade.
In comparison, the Galaxy S23 offers a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and a 3,900mAh battery. The rest of its specs are quite similar to the S22.
