All three devices in the Galaxy S22 lineup are tipped to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in India

Samsung usually launches its flagship phones in India with its in-house Exynos processors. This puts the devices at a disadvantage compared to the brand’s competitors. The upcoming Galaxy S22 lineup will mark a departure from the Korean company’s previous Galaxy S flagship lineup in India. The company is preparing to launch flagship Galaxy S series device with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Samsung fans in India will have something to cheer about this.

Previously, in December, it was also reported that the Galaxy S22 series in India will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Today’s development just solidifies the chances of the next-generation S-series to debut with the said processor. All three devices could also be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is based on 4nm architecture and an ARMv9 design. It has a tri-cluster design. The processor is integrated with an X65 modem for 5G connectivity and support for both sub-6GHz and mmWave networks.

We will know more details about the Samsung Galaxy S22 series on Wednesday.
