Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus Geekbench listing has been spotted. To be precise, the US variant of the device with the model number SM-S916U surfaced on the benchmarking platform. As usual, the listing has revealed the key details on the processor, RAM, and Android version that will be available on the S23+.

The Galaxy S23 series, which includes the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra, have all been approved by the 3C authority of China. The Geekbench listing of the S23+ is a good hint that the company could be internally testing the performance of the S23+. In the past few weeks, the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra have also been spotted at Geekbench. These findings indicate that the S23 series launch may not be far away.

The Samsung SM-S916U device that has appeared on Geekbench is the US edition of the Galaxy S23 Plus. The listing reveals that the device is powered by a Qualcomm chipset, which has 4 CPU cores clocking at 2.80GHz, 3 CPU cores working at 2.02GHz, and a prime CPU core clocking at 3.36GHz. The source code of the listing shows that the SoC is equipped with the Adreno 740 GPU.

The “Kalama” codename for the SoC that can be seen in the motherboard field in the Geekbench listing is a good hint that it could be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is set to launch later this month. The Geekbench listing further reveals that the device has 8 GB of RAM, and it runs on Android 13 OS.

Speculations are rife that like the Galaxy S23 Plus variants heading to Europe and Asia, these devices will also reportedly feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, the device scored 1485 and 4844 points, respectively.

Rumours are rife that the Galaxy S23 Plus is expected to come with a 6.6-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The device will likely run on the Android 13 OS, which will be overlaid with One UI 5. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform that powers the S23+ may come with 8GB / 12GB of RAM and 128GB / 256G of storage.
