Samsung Galaxy S23 series early launch has been tipped. The lineup is likely to include three models: the Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S23 Plus, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The early launch of the next-generation S-series flagship seems possible since all three devices have been spotted at multiple platforms, such as Geekbench, China’s 3C certification, and India’s BIS certification.
Qualcomm will be announcing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chipset later this month. The Galaxy S23 lineup is expected to feature the chip. Previously, Samsung has launched the S-series phones in Exynos and Snapdragon chipset variants in different markets. Leaks suggest that there will not be an Exynos chip variant for the Galaxy S23 series.

According to a report by the South Korean publication, Chosun, the Galaxy S23 will debut in the first week of February 2023. Except for the COVID-19 pandemic years, the company has traditionally launched its S-series flagships in March. According to the report, the Galaxy S23 series is expected to come out about 3 to 4 weeks earlier than usual.
A business official familiar with Samsung’s developments has claimed that Samsung is planning to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, USA, in the first week of February 2023. He added that the company will make it available for purchase in the market around February 17th, 2023.
The report further states that as competition has intensified in the smartphone market, the company has been gradually pushing the Galaxy S-series’ release date forward. The report further states that since the smartphone market has been shrinking at a rate of 10 percent year-on-year every quarter, Samsung is aiming to achieve better earnings by launching the S-series earlier.
Samsung Galaxy S23 series specifications: what to expect
Reports have claimed that the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus will be more or less similar to the Galaxy S22 and S22+. The only major improvement on both models will be the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra will be Samsung’s first phone to feature a 200-megapixel camera. The device is rumoured to come equipped with the rumoured Samsung ISOCELL HP3 lens, which has not been on any other 200-megapixel camera phone. It is expected to offer brilliant night photography and videography experiences. The S23 Ultra will also feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and the built-in S Pen stylus. The rest of its specifications are said to be identical to the S22 Ultra.
