Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra BIS, NBTC listing spotted ahead of rumoured February launch

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has received certification from the BIS authority in India and Thailand’s NBTC certification platform. Multiple reports have claimed that the Galaxy S23 series will launch in February 2023. The Ultra model will be accompanied by the Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23 Plus.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel selfie camera, and a curved-edge display with reduced curvature. Its design and the rest of its specifications will be quite similar to the S22 Ultra. Here is a look at the BIS and NBTC certifications of the device.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra’s BIS and NBTC certifications confirm that it has the SM-S918B/DS model number. Unfortunately, these certifications do not reveal any information on its major specs. However, the rumour mill has already revealed almost everything about the device.

Rumours have revealed that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED LPTO panel that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will feature a new 12-megapixel selfie camera and a 200-megapixel (main) + 12-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 10-megapixel (telephoto) + 10-megapixel (periscope) quad-camera setup on the back.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset will power the S23 Ultra. It will ship with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone will run on Android 13 OS and One UI 5.0. It will house a 5,000mAh battery that will support up to 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

The S23 Ultra will continue to feature a dedicated slot for the S Pen. Also, it will come with other features like an IP68-rated chassis and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
