Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) with S-Pen Officially Announced

In February, Samsung had launched the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) tablet. It was unveiled as affordable version of the more power Snapdragon 670-powered Galaxy Tab S5e. The South Korean company has silently introduced another smaller tablet named Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) that comes with an S-Pen stylus.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) features an 8-inch LCD panel that produces full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The Blue Light filter can be activated with a single touch on the device to protect they eyes from harmful blue rays. The Exynos 7904 SoC that powers the likes of mid-range phones such as Galaxy M30 and Galaxy M20 is present under the hood of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019). The SoC is supported by 3GB of RAM.

The internal storage of the device is 32GB out of which there is 22GB usable space available. It also features a microSD card slot for additional storage. Its packed with a 4,200mAh battery that offers up to 11 hours of internet browsing. It comes in Wi-Fi only and LTE models. The latter also delivers up to 11 hours of web browsing.

The rear side of the tablet features an 8-megapixel autofocus camera. It lacks support for LED flash. On the front of the device is a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The connectivity features available on the device include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack. There is a dedicated compartment available on the device for the S-Pen stylus. The thickness of the tablet is 8.9mm and it weighs 325 grams. There Is no fingerprint scanner on the device.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) Price and Availability

Samsung is yet to declare the pricing of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) tablet. It will be heading to limited markets such as Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the UK. There is no word on when it will be made available in India. Black and Grey are the two colour variants of the Samsung tablet.
