Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has been launched in India today. It is the latest offering in the brand’s Galaxy Tab A series. The device had debuted in global markets earlier this month.

The Indian variant of Galaxy Tab A8 comes with the same specifications as its global counterpart. The device falls in the sub-Rs 20,000 price bracket and competes against the likes of Realme Pad, Nokia T20, and Moto Tab G20 in the market. Let’s take a look at the Galaxy Tab A8 below.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 comes with a 10.5-inch display bearing an FHD+ resolution and symmetrical bezels on all sides. It sports a metal unibody with an ultrathin profile measuring just 6.9mm. The tablet features a dual-toned back panel with a single 8MP rear camera whereas, on the front, there is a 5MP selfie snapper. On the audio front, the device is equipped with quad-speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos. 

In terms of hardware, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is powered by an unspecified 2GHz octa-core processor. It is paired with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot. The tablet is backed by a 7,040mAh battery unit with support for 15W fast charging. On the software front, the device runs on OneUI 3.1 based on Android 11. It comes with features like Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Kids, Samsung Knox, screen recorder, and multi-window support. 

Connectivity-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 features a USB-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, WiFI-5, Bluetooth 5.1, and LTE.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 starts at Rs 17,999 for the base 3GB + 32GB variant. The tablet also comes in 4GB RAM variant with option for either 64GB or 128GB storage. The tablet is offered in Grey, Silver, and Pink Gold colours. It will be available for purchase from Amazon India, Samsung.com, and leading retail stores across the country starting from January 17th, 2022.
