Samsung has announced the upgrade to its Galaxy Tab Active 2 at IFA 2019 in Berlin. The Galaxy Tab Active Pro comes equipped with S Pen functionality, Dex Mode and a mammoth battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro comes with a 10-inch display with a resolution of 1,200 x 1,920 pixels. The tablet is also laced with a DeX mode which allows it to function as a PC when connected to an external screen. It offers a special glove mode and wet touch feature, while the panel packs 500 nits of brightness. The tablet comes with the S Pen, which is docked on the top left corner.
It sports an IP68 certification and the physical buttons present below the display are used for navigation. Furthermore, the company also claims that the tablet can withstand a fall from 1.2 metres. In terms of performance, Samsung hasn’t yet announced the name of its processor. However, according to various leaks, one can expect Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor on board. It is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage which can be expanded by up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Galaxy Tab Active Pro also boasts of a 13MP rear camera and 8MP selfie snapper. A 7,600mAh battery capacity is also included while there is no word on its support for fast charging yet. The tablet runs Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box and promises timely software updates for four years.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro: Price and availability
The Galaxy Tab Active Pro has been launched with a price tag of €600 (~ Rs 47,600) and €670 (~ Rs 53,200) for LTE version. It will be available from October 1st in Germany but there’s no news about its India launch yet.
