In June this year, Samsung had launched its Galaxy Tab S6 with flagship specifications and in Wi-Fi-only and 4G variants. The device made it to the Indian market in October. Now the South Korean brand is expected to announce the 5G variant of Tab S6. This would make it the world’s first tablet with 5G connectivity. The Tab S6 5G went live on the company’s support page and promotional website in South Korea. The device is listed with a ‘coming soon’ tag. Notably, the Galaxy Tab S6 was also listed on Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance, and it was certified from a regulatory authority in the brand’s home country recently.
The Galaxy Tab S6 5G is listed on the official support page with model number SM-T866N. The model number is in line with the one spotted earlier on South Korean certification sites. The promotion on Samsung’s Korean website is live till March 2020 hinting at an imminent launch. As seen in the listing, the Galaxy Tab S6 5G has the same design. However, we expect the device to come with Snapdragon 855 with an integrated X50 5G modem and a higher RAM+storage capacity. The 5G variant is also expected to be pricer than its 4G counterpart.
