Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Official Renders Reveal Magnetic S-Pen And Surface-Style Kickstand

On: July 18, 2019

Samsung is set to expand its tablet portfolio with the launch of Galaxy Tab S6. The upcoming tablet is expected to be launched alongside Galaxy Note 10 on August 7th. Notably, the Galaxy Tab S6 will come with high-end specs and directly rival Apple’s iPad.

Last week, live images of tablet leaked out but now official press renders give us a clear look at the upcoming Tab S6. The tablet looks identical to the Tab S5e that was unveiled earlier this year. The rear panel has a matte finish and houses dual rear cameras placed at the top left corner. There is a USB-C port at the bottom while the pogo pins are located on the left side. Like the Tab S5e, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack on this one as well. The Galaxy Tab S6 will come equipped with quad AKG-tuned speakers – two each at the top and bottom. The leaked renders also hint at face unlock or an in-display scanner since there is no physical fingerprint scanner on the tab. The upcoming tablet will be launched in Blue, Grey and Pink colour options.

As for the core specifications, the Tab S6 is expected to sport a 10.6-inch display surrounded by thin bezels and an AMOLED panel on the top. The tablet is rumored to be powered by flagship Snapdragon 855 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The dual rear camera setup may be of 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP wide-angle lens.

The Galaxy Tab S6 is also expected to ship with S-Pen stylus which can be magnetically attached to the rear panel. It is unknown whether the stylus would be wirelessly chargeable and comes with Bluetooth connectivity. The leaked renders also show an optional keyboard cover and a Microsoft Surface type kickstand.

We will have to wait for the official announcement which is expected to happen in the coming weeks. Going by the specs, the Galaxy Tab S6 is expected to carry a premium price tag.
