The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite tablets have launched. The former is a mid-range addition to the Galaxy Tab S7 series flagship tablets that were announced last year. On the other hand, the Tab A7 Lite is an affordable tablet with a compact design.
The letters “FE” in the Galaxy Tab S7 FE stands for Fan Edition. The tablet offers key features of the flagship Tab S7 and Tab S7+ at a cheaper price. The tablet features a 12.4-inch display, a 5G-ready chipset, a big battery, and S Pen support. The Tab A7 Lite has an 8.7-inch screen and up to 64GB of storage.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE specifications and features
The Galaxy Tab S7 FE features a 12.4-inch TFT display that delivers 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolutions. The retail package of the tablet includes an S Pen stylus for note-making and drawings. Placed on the front is a 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies. The back panel of the device has an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus support.
The press release by Samsung does not clearly mention the name of the processors that powers the Galaxy Tab S7 FE. However, several reports have revealed that it features the Snapdragon 750G mobile platform. Depending on the market, the Tab S7 FE will be available in two variants such as 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. It runs One UI 3.1 based on Android 11.
The Tab S7 FE houses a massive 10,990mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging, but the charger is sold separately. The other features that can be found on the tablet are 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1), a microSD card slot, stereo speakers tuned by AKG, and Dolby Atmos support.

The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has an 8.7-inch TFT screen that produces 1,340 x 800 pixels resolution. It has a front camera of 2-megapixel and its rear shell has an autofocus-enabled 8-megapixel snapper.
Previous reports have claimed that the Tab A7 Lite has an Helio P22T chipset, but the press release does not mention the name of the chip. The tablet comes in two options such as 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The availability of both variants will vary depending on the market.
The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite gets a 5,100mAh battery that can be charged through a 15W charger, which is sold separately. The tablet is packed with other features such as One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 OS, LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB Type-C, duals stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Samsung is yet to confirm the pricing and availability of the Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Tab A7 Lite. The former comes in shades like Mystic Black, Mystic Silver, Mystic Green, and Mystic Pink, whereas the latter will come in Gray and Silver colours. Samsung will be selling optional accessories like Book Cover and Book Cover Keyboard for the Tab S7 FE, whereas the Tab A7 Lite users can purchase optional accessories like a Book Cover and Clear Cover.
