Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ with 120Hz displays and Snapdragon 865 Plus launched: price, specifications

Apart from launching the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Z Fold 2 foldable phone, Galaxy Watch 3, and Galaxy Buds Live TWS earbuds, Samsung also announced the Galaxy Tab S7 series. Last year, the South Korean company had released only a single flagship tablet called Galaxy Tab S6. This year, the company has announced the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+.

The Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ come in different screen sizes but come with identical designs. They are powered by the Snapdragon 865+ flagship processor. The Galaxy Tab S7 duo feature quad speakers and are packed with large-sized batteries.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+ come with 120Hz displys and Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset

The metal-bodied Galaxy Tab S7 has an 11-inch LTPS LCD panel with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolution. The Galaxy Tab S7+ also has a metallic chassis and it houses a larger 12.4-inch S-AMOLED screen with 1,752 x 2,800 pixels resolution. Both displays support 120Hz refresh rates. The Tab S7+ is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner whereas the standard model has a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

The Snapdragon 865 Plus powers the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. These tablets offer up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of storage, with a microSD card slot for expansion. They run One UI 2.5 based on Android 10. The Tab S7 has an 8,000mAh battery, whereas the Tab S7 Plus is backed by a 10,090mAh cell. Both support 45W fast charging technology.

Tab S7 series users can make use of the Wireless DeX feature, Book Cover keyboard and Bluetooth mouse for a desktop PC experience. The Tab S7 series comes with the improved S Pen stylus that offers 9 milliseconds latency to function like a real pen. It is the same Bluetooth-enabled S Pen that ships with Note 20 Ultra. It can be wirelessly charged by placing it on the groove at the rear of the device. The quad speakers of the Tab S7 series are powered by AKG and they come with Dolby Atmos support.

The Galaxy Tab S7 series feature a dual camera setup on their rear. It comprises a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. There’s a 5-megapixel sensor in the front. Other features include5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 820.11ax, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB-C 3.2.

The Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ come in colours like Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic Silver. They will be available in the US this fall, priced at $649.99 (~Rs 48,600) and $849.99 (~Rs 63,500), respectively.
