Samsung schedules Galaxy Unpacked event for August 5th: here’s what to expect

Samsung is known for organising its Galaxy Unpacked event every year in August to unveil its ‘Next big thing’, which are Galaxy Note series smartphones. However, there were speculations that the event might be delayed this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Samsung has now put these speculations to rest by sending out a media invite for the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event and also shared a teaser video on its official YouTube channel.

The South Korean giant is expected to announce three variants in the Note 20 lineup including a standard, Plus and Ultra model. Of these, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra was recently spotted on the official Ukrainian website of the brand, giving us a glimpse of its design.

Samsung has sent out media invites for the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event on August 5th, where the brand is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 20 series. Moreover, if the rumours are to be believed, we can also expect the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G to be announced at the same event.

Samsung has officially confirmed on its website that the upcoming event will kick-off at 10am ET (7:30pm IST). The event will be live streamed on the Samsung Global Newsroom and Samsung.com. The company has also shared a teaser video on its official YouTube channel, where we can see a Copper/Bronze coloured S Pen melting into a liquid drop. The copper colour is in line with the Note 20 Ultra render spotted on Samsung’s website earlier.
