Samsung has launched two new versions of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 – Golf Edition and an LTE version of the aluminium Galaxy Watch Active 2 in the South Korean market. The standard Galaxy Watch Active 2 was launched in October 2019 in the Indian subcontinent. Both new versions are expected to be launched around the globe in coming days. The standard Galaxy Watch Active 2 features a 1.4-inch circular Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. It relies on Exynos 9110 processor, runs One UI and features 39 physical activity trackers. Out of these 39, 7 are tracked automatically including running, walking, cycling, swimming and more.

The Golf Edition smartwatch features an updated golf shot distance measurement. It houses an app called Caddie that hosts a database of over 40,000 golf costs across the world. The brand has launched this edition in two variants, one with a 40mm dial and the other offers a 44mm dial. They have been launched in Aqua Black and Pink Gold shades, respectively. The Golf edition features a lightweight fluorine rubber golf strap and it is waterproof. It can resist sweat and rain while keeping intact one’s comfort and style.
The 44mm variant is priced at KRW 359,700 (~Rs 21,300) while the smaller 40mm variant would cost KRW 393,000 (~Rs 23,280). The smart wearable is available for buying in the South Korean market and is expected to arrive in the US and UK soon as well.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 LTE: price and availability
The LTE variant of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 Aluminium comes for the same price as the Golf Edition for 40mm and 44mm versions. Both sizes come in three colour shades – Aqua Black, Pink Gold and Cloud Silver. This version is speculated to arrive for Asian and European markets soon as well.
