Samsung has launched a new smartwatch along with the Galaxy Fold, Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10e. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active runs the Tizen-based Wearable OS 4.0. The smartwatch has been launched in four shades – Silver, Black, Rose Gold and Sea Green.

The latest smart wearable by Samsung has a thinner wrist band than its last year offering, the Galaxy Watch. This smartwatch is a sports-focussed device and it comes with a circular display and interchangable straps. The AMOLED display is 1.1-inches in size, with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3. It is an Always-on full colour display that features a bezel-less design.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active can auto-detect physical activity like running, biking, rowing, elliptical training or dynamic workouts. You can also manually enable 39 activities, set daily goals and monitor your progress. Additionally, you can track your blood pressure with this watch by downloading the My BP Lab app. The watch also features a stress tracker and breathing exercises to help you stay calm. It comes with Bixby integration so you can use voice commands to make calls or send messages on your connected phone. Third-party apps like Under Armour, Strava and Spotify are also available.
It supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, GLONASS and NFC. It features 4GB of internal memory, 768MB of RAM and an Exynos 9110 processor. It features a 230mAh battery and supports wireless charging. It is compatible with Android phones running v5.0 or higher, and iPhones running iOS 9 or higher.

The wearable has been launched at a price of $199.99 (~Rs 14,205) and will go on sale in the US starting March 8th. India availability hasn’t been announced as of now.
