Samsung just expanded its line of rugged smartphones with the Galaxy Xcover 4, successor to the previous Galaxy Xcover 3. It boasts of IP67 certified dust and water resistance capabilities in addition to US Military Standard MIL-STD 810G. The device costs €259 (approximately Rs 18,205) and comes in Black colour option. It will go on sale in Europe starting next month.
The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 has a 4.99-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display, which is said to operate normally even after users having gloves on. The device in question is powered by a 1.4GHz Exynos 7570 14nm chip with Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. Furthermore, it has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory, expandable via microSD. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy Xcover 4 houses a 13MP rear shooter alongside a LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. On the front, there is a 5MP secondary camera for selfies. It packs a 2800mAh battery in addition to connectivity options i.e., 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC.
