Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 specifications tipped: Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, bigger battery, and more

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 5G specifications have been leaked. The South Korean tech company is expected to launch the clamshell flagship along with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in August this year. As the name implies, the Z Flip 4 will succeed the Galaxy Z Flip 3 from last year.

Today, tipster Yogesh Brar has shared the key specifications of the Z Flip 4. The leak reveals that it will come with improvements in departments like external display, chipset, and battery. In terms of design, CAD renders released last month revealed that its overall appearance will be similar to that of its predecessor.

According to the leaker, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 from Samsung has a 6.7-inch sAMOLED foldable display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover screen of the device will use a 2.1-inch sAMOLED display, which is slightly larger than the Galaxy Z Flip 3’s 1.9-inch external display.

In terms of optics, the rear shell of the device features a 12-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide snapper. On the inside, it features a 10-megapixel selfie camera. The device will run on the Android 12 OS with One UI 4 on top.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset will power the Galaxy Z Flip 4. The clamshell device will ship with 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of storage. It will be powered by a 3,700mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging and 10W wireless charging. To recall, the Z Flip 3 has a smaller 3,300mAh battery.

Shown above is the CAD render of the Z Flip 4, which reveals that it will sport a dual-tone finish like its predecessor. It also reveals that the device is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The new leak has no information on the price of the device.
